Speaking at the workshop, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Viet Thao, Chairman of the Vietnam-Venezuela Friendship Association, said that in the period 2016-2020, in Vietnam, more than 1.4 million private enterprises were established and emphasized. Today, the private sector accounts for the largest share of the gross national product (from 48% to 54%), contributing 30% to the state budget.
During more than 30 years of renovation, the Communist Party of Vietnam has always paid attention and has many guidelines and policies for the synchronous development of all economic sectors. In order to develop the private economy in the new situation, the Fifth Conference of the 12th Central Committee of the Party issued Resolution No. 10-NQ/TW dated June 3, 2017 on developing the private economy to return to normalcy. become an important driving force of the socialist-oriented market economy.
Accordingly, the basic laws including the Law on Enterprises, the Law on Investment, the Law on Tax Administration, the Law on Supporting Small and Medium Enterprises… have been amended and supplemented to further improve the investment and business environment and innovation is more suitable to the requirements of developing a socialist-oriented market economy. Vietnam is aiming to increase the contribution of the private sector to 55% of GDP by 2025 and 60% by 2030.
Chairman of the Vietnam – Venezuela Friendship Association Nguyen Viet Thao emphasized that, with the right decisions of the Party and State, after 35 years of doing Doi Moi, Vietnam has attracted nearly 400 billion USD in foreign direct investment. FDI from 130 countries and territories, distributed to more than 30,000 projects.

Speaking at the end of the workshop, Chairman of the Vietnam – Venezuela Friendship Association Nguyen Viet Thao emphasized that the Resolution of the 13th Party Congress continued to identify the state economy as the leading role, the state economy together with the state economy. the collective economy has increasingly become a solid foundation of the national economy; The private sector has become one of the important driving forces of the development of the socialist-oriented market economy in Vietnam.
