Previously, in March 2020, the Ministry of Transport also asked the Prime Minister to consider separating the railway bridge upgrade project for investment in the medium-term plan for the period 2021 – 2025 and directing the People’s Committee to City. Hanoi allocates resources to implement the new road bridge construction project to serve road traffic on the old National Highway 1 and ensure synchronization with the railway bridge project.

This project has completed the pre-feasibility study, but in the feasibility study step, the route from Hanoi to Gia Lam and extending to Yen Vien is invested in the following phases of the Project.
